RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational Leadership
Develop and implement operational strategies to ensure efficient event delivery
Lead and manage the operations team, including recruitment, training, and performance development
Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and content teams to ensure alignment
Drive innovation and continuous improvement in operational processes and customer experience
Event Planning & Execution
Oversee the full operational lifecycle from venue sourcing and contract negotiation to on-site delivery and post-event reporting
Manage budgets, timelines, schedules, health and safety compliance, and risk assessments
Lead the development of event floorplans in collaboration with commercial teams
Ensure exhibitor and contractor manuals are accurate and distributed on time
Coordinate with international stakeholders and logistics providers for overseas events
Stakeholder Management
Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with venues, contractors, and other third-party suppliers
Ensure service level agreements are met and deliverables are achieved within budget and timelines
Oversee contracts and procurement processes for key suppliers
Health & Safety
Ensure all events meet legal, insurance, licensing, and health and safety requirements
Liaise with regulatory bodies and maintain compliance documentation
Cost Control
Create and manage detailed event budgets, ensuring cost-efficiency and value for money
Monitor operational spend and identify opportunities for savings
Technology & Systems
Evaluate and implement event tech solutions (e.g., registration systems, floorplan tools, event apps)
Streamline internal operations using digital tools to enhance efficiency
